Woman Charged with Running Over, Killing Boyfriend

Apache Junction Police Department (AJPD) said that a man has died after an apparent altercation with his girlfriend in the Apache Junction Walmart parking lot.

“Oscar Coronado, 25, died early Thursday, February 21 after being struck late Wednesday night by a car allegedly driven by his girlfriend, Dalia Villalobos, 23, in the parking lot off Apache Trail and Delaware Drive,” police reported.

“A preliminary investigation has led to the arrest of Villalobos on charges of second-degree murder while the investigation continues.” She is currently being held at the Pinal County Detention Center with a $75,000 bond.

In a release to the press, AJPD said “Officers found Coronado about 11:17 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot with an extensive head wound. Officers began life-saving measures and he was taken to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, where he was pronounced dead early Thursday.

Villalobos told officers that she and Coronado have a child and that she is pregnant with their second. The couple’s child is in the care of family members.”
