AJ Mobile Home Total Loss After Fire

Fire fighters arrive in time to protect neighbors’ homes from flames

The Superstiton Fire & Medical District (SFMD) responded to a mobile home fire in Apache Junction last Wednesday night,  November 29.

According to officials, the home, located in the 700 block of S. Lawson Dr., was burning heavily when fire crews arrived at 11:40 p.m.

Apache Junction Police (AJPD) officers were first on the scene and assisted a female occupant out of the home before SFMD arrived. The fire was extinguished quickly. The occupant was medically evaluated by paramedics on the scene, but did not require treatment or transportation to a hospital. She stayed with a neighbor for the night, and Red Cross was notified of her need for shelter. Although the home is a total loss, there were no injuries and no other homes on the property were damaged. Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

  1. In regards to the fire on Lawson Dr, it was the next door neighbor who got the female out of the burning trailer. AJPD pulled up after he went in and pulled her out. He deserves credit for his part.
