25 volunteers worked together to restore 3 acres of grassland in the Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff, AZ, as a part of Bronson Williams-Shaw’s Eagle Scout Project.

Williams-Shaw, a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 39 in Apache Junction, coordinated the effort, securing donated water, safety glasses and work gloves from Ace Hardware, Frontier Ace Hardware and Home Depot, as well as food from Toms BBQ to feed all the scouts.

The project collaborated with the National Forestry Service and the Arizona Elk Society, working to restore the winter range for elk and other species who rely on the grassland habitat.
