Free Admission to State Parks MLK Weekend

Governor Doug Ducey has announced that, for the third year in a row, all Arizona residents will get free admission to state parks during Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend.

Entrance fees at state parks will be waived for all Arizona residents between Saturday, January 19 and Monday, January 21. Visitors must show an Arizona ID for free entrance. Fees will still apply for cave tours at Kartchner Caverns State Park, tours, camping, special events, Boyce Thompson Arboretum and concessions.

“January is a great time to get out and explore the parks in our amazing state, and a three-day weekend is the perfect opportunity,” said Governor Ducey. “I encourage all Arizona residents to visit a state park near them.”

With more opportunities to hike, fish, camp, stay in a cabin, boat or just relax in the great outdoors, Arizona State Parks has an adventure waiting for everyone. Plan your trip now by visiting AZState
