Gold Canyon Arts Festival Promises a Feast for the Senses

January 27 at the GC United Methodist Church

Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Superstition Mountains, the 18th annual Gold Canyon Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church at 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon, AZ. The festival, a gift to the community from the non-profit Gold Canyon Arts Council and their sponsors, features no admission fee and free parking.

An average of 5,000 people/yr have attended, and exhibitors call it the “best one day festival in the region.” The juried art show will feature the work of 85 artists from the East Valley and throughout the state in a wide variety of genres and styles. Programs will be available listing the artists, their specialties and booth locations.

There will be live entertainment all day. The following groups are tentatively scheduled: The Arizona Trio, a very popular local folk group; Mariachi Pasion; and Brian Hammill, Native Spirit, World Champion Hoop Dancer. Other groups to be announced.

The Food Court offers a variety of foods and beverages and includes two food trucks. There is truly something for everyone. The Gold Canyon Food Bank will be there, and we encourage you to donate to this worthy cause.
