Lost Dutchman Days overcame the challenges of a statewide winter storm last week and, once again, did not disappoint.
Adept fairground crews adapted the layout during a wet setup on Thursday, February 21 and opened the event as planned—for the 55th time. Attendees from near and far were treated to clearing weather and three days of Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association sanctioned action, a parade on Saturday, arts fair and a carnival that featured rides and attractions. Please enjoy these photographs from News partner Jack Olson, who captured the fun and action.
The Lost Dutchman Days Committee partners with many local youth-serving organizations and sponsors to “put smiles on kid’s faces.” Profits from this event will be donated to youth organizations and other youth-serving programs in the Apache Junction community.
Lost Dutchman Days is presented through an IRS 501(c)(3), non-profit partnership between the Superstition Mountain Promotional Corporation and the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers.
