By Sally Marks
The Hitching Post Saloon, 2341 N. Apache Trail in Apache Junction, will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser every Tuesday in August and September in 2018, with proceeds benefitting the Apache Junction Unified School District.
The first night for the fundraiser is Aug. 7, continung through Sept. 25. Tickets are $10 each and include spaghetti and meatball dinner and garlic bread. Tickets can be purchased at the restaurant.
All profits from the dinners will be donated to Apache Junction Unified School District schools. “Tina and I believe it is important to support our schools, and a homemade spaghetti dinner is a great way to do it,” said Mehmood “Mo” Mohiuddin, owner of the western-themed eatery and bar.
The restaurant is the site of many fundraising efforts in the community. Mohiuddin and his customers recently donated a carload of backpacks and school supplies to the school district.
