Join Superstition Fire & Medical District in congratulating Fire Engineer/Paramedic Ryan Ledbetter as SFMD’s 2019 Firefighter of the Year, and Paramedic Ryan Tonelli as our Transportation Services 2019 Employee of the Year.
Ryan Ledbetter has been selected as the 2019 Firefighter of the Year for his drive and motivation, and his ability to serve as a role model for fellow firefighters. He was recognized for his ambition to move forward within the organization and his desire to serve and support others. Ryan serves as a lead instructor for the Firefighter I & II Program at Central Arizona College. He is dedicated to teaching and mentoring others on and off duty. Ryan has volunteered for, and supported numerous committees in an effort to improve operational effectiveness within the SFMD. He has assisted with the district’s recruitment process several times and has served as an integral part of the 2018 Intern Academy to support organizational growth and development.
Ryan Tonelli has been selected as the district’s first ever Transportation Services Employee of the Year. Ryan was recognized for his compassion, skills and dedication to service delivery. He carries out his duties with great confidence and is highly supportive of others. Ryan assures Mission Readiness at all times, he strives to continuously learn and improve, and he strives to excel in his duties and performance. Ryan is continuously assigned to precept paramedic students and new paramedic employees because of his knowledge of standards and procedures and his ability to teach and instruct others.
Both of these individuals exemplify the mission, visions, and values of the SFMD and they have earned this honored award with distinction. Please join us in congratulating Ryan Ledbetter and Ryan Tonelli.
